2. "The Three-In-One Bible Reference Companion" by Thomas Nelson

This is one of my absolute favorites as far as a Bible reference guide. It is a combination concordance, topical index and dictionary. You can look up the meaning of a word for its definition, and right underneath the word will be all of the Scripture verses that will have that word in it. All of the words and topics are listed alphabetically so that you can find what you are looking for a very fast glance. This book combines the best features of a Bible dictionary, concordance and encyclopedia. All of the most important words listed in the Bible are in this book.

3. "Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary" edited by Trent Butler

End Time Book Reviews

For those of you who are looking for good bottom-line knowledge on end time events as specifically prophesied to occur by our Lord through His Word, here is a list of some of the best books on this hot topic. All of these authors are true experts in this field and you cannot go wrong with all of their teachings on this subject.

The authors of the books chosen in this section are highly regarded as experts in the field. The writers will help people understand the Book of Revelation, which is considered as the most important book in the Bible.

I believe we are truly living in the end times and each Christian should have some of this bottom-line knowledge under their belts. The books would provide information that would expound the subject to both Christians who believe in the end times and non-Christians who sense, in their own way, that the end time events are starting to come to pass..

"Are We Living in the End Times?" by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins

The co-authors of the best-seller "Left Behind" series have written a very good factual book on all of the main end time events that will be occurring leading up to the visible return of Jesus back to our earth. Tim LaHaye has written several good non-fiction, factual books on end time events and I believe this to be one of his better books. Goes into very good detail on all of these end time events along with all of the Scripture verses to back it all up.

"Revelation Unveiled" By Tim LaHaye

Another very good solid book from Tim LaHaye. This book in particular is the best I have seen from him to-date. Besides going into the end time events that will be occurring leading up to Jesus' 2nd coming to our earth, he goes further into all of this showing what is going to happen in the 1000 year millennium kingdom when Jesus will literally rule this earth from the city of Jerusalem - and then what we will get with the final ending to all of it - the New Heaven and New Earth. This is not only the best book he has done to-date, but it is one of the best books on this topic we have to-date in the Body of Christ. I can't recommend this particular book highly enough.

"The End Times Controversy" by Tim LaHaye

This book about the end times is the author's answer to some critics who faced difficulties in interpreting the Bible from more of a literal point of view. There is a big debate whether or not there will be a rapture, whether or not a real antichrist will really come, etc. Mr. LaHaye provides answers to the questions on these topics in this book. Highly recommend this book if you want answers to some of the debates going on with this topic.

Knowing The Benefits of the Wreaths

This article will give you some good ideas on the benefits of artificial Christmas Wreaths

Even if you don't admit it, there is a certain hesitation whenever you think about getting artificial Christmas wreaths. The first thing that usually comes to mind is an ugly, plastic circle that is hanging in the front doors of people's homes. This picture was true years ago, today, even an artificial Christmas wreath can hold its own against the beauty of real ones. In fact, if you check them out, you might be surprised at how real they look. There is no denying that the qualities of artificial wreaths have changed through the years, same as with artificial trees.

However, before we go on any further, let's back up and discover how this practice of placing and using wreaths came about. In pagan worship, the wreath was used as sign that a person or individual, whom the wreath was bestowed, received divine favor from the gods. The circle in the wreath was a symbol of eternity, since the circle shape has no beginning and end. This belief was held high by Druids during ancient times. Since time went on, the different beliefs intermingled with each other and the meaning of the Christmas wreath has changed as well, particularly into what we know now.

Christianity took the wreath to mean and symbolize the crown of thorns that Jesus wore on his crucifixion day. Christians already have their own spin on the meaning of the circle. Although it still symbolized eternity, it is taken to mean the eternal love of Christ when he died for everybody's sins.

No matter what kind of wreath you use, whether it be traditional wreaths or artificial Christmas wreaths, knowing what the meaning and history of wreaths will give you a better appreciation for it.

During Christmas time, you have two choices when choosing a wreath, either artificial Christmas wreaths or traditional wreaths.

There are many advantages to having artificial wreaths as opposed to having authentic ones. Here are a few reasons below:

They remain "fresh." When dealing with real wreaths, they require plenty of attention from you. You need to maintain their freshness and make sure that they don't die out on you before the holiday season is over. With artificial wreaths, worries like these are not needed. It will continue to look fresh from the day you bought it and even until the next year and after that. You can reuse them and have a decoration that can last a lifetime.

Another great thing is that there is variety with artificial Christmas wreaths. Most of them are available in different colors, sizes as well as designs. The only thing you need to do is find one that suits your needs and requirements for the space that you have. You will surely have a good time since the variety can be endless.

Handling these artificial wreaths is also not a problem. When it comes to real wreaths, you might have to handle it delicately in order for it not to get deformed. For artificial wreaths, this is not a problem at all. They also do not fade easily. If you want to indulge your creativity, you can buy half done wreaths and design the rest by yourself. This will reflect your own personality as well as style.

Artificial Christmas wreaths are great pieces of decoration for the holidays. Knowing a little about its history makes it even easier to place them on our homes since the meaning and significance is imbibed throughout.

Be Anxious for Nothing Review

For those of you are who are looking for some good reading covering a wide variety of topics, here is a list of some very good books covering some very interesting topics. Each one of these authors are truly anointed in their teachings and you cannot go wrong with their specific teachings on the subjects they are discussing in each of these books.

1. "Approval Addiction: Overcoming Your Need to Please Everyone" by Joyce Meyer

I believe Joyce Meyer to be one of the very best Bible teachers we have in the Body to-date. In this book, she gives you very good commentary and insight on the problem many of us have today in trying to please anyone and everyone. Many people have been set free from her teachings and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who has this particular problem in their thinking and how they relate and interact with others.

"Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyer

In this book, Joyce Meyer tells us that the Bible contains a teaching that says we are transformed by renewing our minds. As a result, our minds are the battlefield between God, the devil and our flesh. Christians have to know the way to walk in the Spirit, the ways of God and each one should stay away from the wrong way of thinking that could bring one to trouble so that one could end up facing major misfortunes and a troubled life.

As the old saying goes, you are what you think and you will eventually become what you think. This is said to be the main reason why the devil is always after our own mind, relentlessly trying to possess our very thoughts. This book is said to be one of the best Joyce Meyer has ever written, expertly delivering a powerful and enlightening piece that can be an instrumental in the spiritual development of a person.

"Be Anxious For Nothing: The Art of Casting Your Cares and Resting in God" by Joyce Meyer

People find it hard to find true peace in this fast-paced and stressful world we live in. But one should remember that the Lord commands us to be anxious for nothing. Joyce does a very good job in covering the appropriate Scripture verses on this command. She also teaches the reader some ways to apply this in their personal lives.

She uses the lessons that she has learned herself as she admits that she also used to worry and complain constantly about everything.

Prophecy Books

The following article is part of our series on doing reviews of some of the best Christian books on the market.

"Thus Saith the Lord" by John Bevere

As the people are informed about the gift of prophecy and the prophets, they should also be warned about the untold harm, misery and torment brought about by people who utter false prophecies. There are rules to any game and you have to know the rules of the prophetic game so you do not get duped into following a false Word from the Lord.

John Bevere does an incredible job in explaining the flip side to this gift and gives real life experiences of people have had their lives totally ruined as a result of following a false word given to them by either a false prophet or from a prophet who just made a simple mistake. Many people have married the wrong people and have taken the wrong jobs in this life - all because they did not know how to properly judge and discern when a word did come their way from a prophet.

"Prophets and Personal Prophecies (Prophets 1)" by Bill Hamon

The author has written 3 fascinating and highly informative volumes on those who have been called to walk in this gift by the Lord. There are actually 3 volumes that tackle on the development of the Lord's prophets as well as how people with the same calling should respond and deal with such gift. Hamon has been known to have learned a lot about the various trial and errors he has gone through in this personal journey.

The author, in his personal life, learned much through trial and error about his gift.

The other two volumes are:

a) "Prophets and the Prophetic Movement, Vol. 2 - God's Prophetic Move Today (Prophets 2)

b) "Prophets Pitfalls and Principles: God' Prophetic People Today (Prophets 3)

For budding and developing prophets, these three volumes are recommended together with "Developing Your Prophetic Gifting" written by Graham Cooke. These 4 books, along with the two mentioned above from John Sandford, may be the 6 best books that we have on the developing of this gift in the Body today.

Swindoll and Renner Book Reviews

"Paul - A Man of Grit and Grace" by Charles Swindoll

This book from Mr. Swindoll is on the life of Paul. I believe Paul to be the greatest of all of the NT apostles and this book gives you all of the basic facts of this man's journey and adventure with the Lord. Again, there is much to learn from his story in the Lord and much we can incorporate into our own personal walks and journeys with the Lord.

"David: A Man of Passion and Destiny" by Charles Swindoll

Revered as one of the greatest kings of Israel, King David's life is narrated by Mr. Swindoll in this book. God gave King David two of the highest compliments one could ever have: one is when He said that David was a man after His own heart. The other compliment is that David will obey God's will for his life. Aside from relating the main parts of the king's life, the author also tells how he ended up as one of the greatest saints in the OT.

"Handbook of Todays' Religions" by Josh McDowell

This reference book provides basic information on the major false religions and the different occult groups and the New Age Movement. Also described in this volume provides a wealth of information and knowledge on the other topics like atheism, Marxism and secular humanism. The book provides knowledge for people to be aware of the type of world we live in wherein people could easily fall prey to groups or ideas that could be demonic in nature.

"Sparkling Gems From the Greek" by Rick Renner

One of the best teachers in the Body of Christ, Rick Renner, has come up with an excellent daily devotional. The author has written a one teaching for each day of the week. A unique feature of the book is that Mr. Renner translate words from the original Greek text that the New Testament was written in.

So as to help readers understand the specific words being used in each of the Scripture verses, 1,000 in-depth Greek word studies aside from the 365 daily devotions are provided in the book. The author discusses different topics in this anointed book that you can't go wrong with this compilation of solid biblical teachings. It is in the Bible that we grow in knowledge and grace of the Lord. The reader will definitely experience spiritual growth if one meditates on the preacher's teachings and writings.

a) "Prophets and the Prophetic Movement, Vol.

These aids in understanding the Bible contain interpretations of verses that you have a difficult time deciphering the messages they hold for you. For those of you who are serious in your study of Scripture, each one of these aids are truly indispensable.

This overview is presented in a very easy-to-understand and follow manner. This book enables you to locate specific people and events on the correct timeline as they occurred in the Bible at a very quick glance. This book also has many colored photographs and maps so you can see where all of these incredible events took

This particular Bible reference book has become one of the best selling reference tools since it was first published back in 1991. This book has very good definitions on all of the main words in the Bible, along with 600 full color photos, illustrations and charts to help explain the meaning of the words to you.

"Your Best Life Now" by Joel Osteen

This book has become a national bestseller. This man truly flows with knowledge and revelation from the Lord and you cannot go wrong with any of his solid biblical teachings. He has one of the biggest churches in America.

I know some have criticized him as being too seeker-sensitive in some of his sermons, but I believe this man is truly anointed by the Lord and this book will give you much practical, down-to-earth knowledge and wisdom on how to get the most out of your life in the Lord with what He is calling you to do for Him.

"God's Generals: Why They Succeeded" by Roberts Liardon

For people who are seeking to learn about the most celebrated saints in the past and have walked what is regarded as the higher level such as the likes of Kathryn Kuhlmann, AimeeSemple Mcpherson and Marie Woodworth-Etter, this book provides readers basic information about their ministries. It recounts how these saints have started with their callings and the incredible occurrences that have occurred during their services with the Lord.

This book contains stories about how they journeyed with God and how they learned how to walk with some of the highest levels of the anointing. Aside from their successes in their respective ministries, their failures are also sources of lessons to learn from. This is the only book I know that goes into very good basic detail into all of these people's lives.

"The Holy Spirit" by Billy Graham

This is yet another good and solid book that primarily centers on the Holy Spirit, written from one of the greatest evangelist of all time, Billy Graham. In this book, he discusses about the nine gifts and the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit and also shows how the Holy Spirit convicts and leads sinners back to the Lord to achieve eternal salvation. This book becomes one of the most influential books that will help ordinary people in the journey in this thing we all call life.

"Maximizing the Moment: God's Action Plan for Your Life" by T. D. Jakes

One of the greatest pastors and teachers of today, T.D. Jakes, is a truly gifted speaker. This is especially true to those who watched him preach on TV in the area of motivating the saints to become everything that God is calling them to become in Him in this life. Jakes is one of the most intense speakers of our time.

The readers are taught how to do their best in whatever field God is calling them to do in their life. He covers how to get released from your hurtful past and how to face and overcome obstacles. He talks about overcoming roadblocks that you could face when you submits your life to God and walk in the path He has set for you.

"The Holy Spirit" by Billy Graham

A very good, solid book on the Holy Spirit from one of the greatest evangelists of all time. He goes into the 9 gifts and 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit, along with showing you how the Holy Spirit convicts and leads sinners to the Lord for eternal salvation. This book is solid teaching from start to finish covering everything from who the Holy Spirit is and how He will work to lead us into a deeper and closer walk with the Lord. I believe this book to be one of the best teaching books on the Holy Spirit and the personal ministry that He has with each one of us as we journey through this life.

"Maximizing the Moment: God's Action Plan for Your Life" by T. D. Jakes

This is especially true to those who watched him preach on TV in the area of motivating the saints to become everything that God is calling them to become in Him in this life. Jakes is one of the most intense speakers of our time.

The book generally goes into detail on maximizing God's calling and what to can do for Him in this life. He expertly covers on how to be released from a hurtful past and how to be able to face and overcome the obstacles and emotional roadblocks that may hinder us from submitting ourselves to the Lord without any reservations.
